Thesiderealproject.com is a WordPress site hosting my stuff.

This is partly an endeavor attempting to balance shameless virtual self-promotion and willful neo-luddism, but really just serves as an avenue of exploration and tinkering– both with writing and website making.

• I chose The Suits theme because it is easy on the eyes– that is, you aren’t staring at a lightbulb of white screen-background or looking at a lot of clutter. The black and white on gray (#e0e0e0), font, and minimalist environment enhance readability. I’m not claiming this theme is stylish. However, choosing a theme should be associated with what is trying to be accomplished, and I don’t think that whatever it is I’m doing here will be accomplished by anything Web 2.0, 3.0, hipster, or cool dynamic stuff that is out there.

• All the mathy stuff is imported from MathType 6.9, a LaTeX editor.

• Photo/picture editing is courtesy of pixlr, an excellent web-based editor. No need to buy a license for some of the fancy tools out there.

• Any picture that I did not create or take myself will be originate from (and be cited as such) only under Creative Commons licenses, with appropriate citation/linkage to the owner or domain. If I there is no citation to an image, then that means I own it.
